RISE Labs B.V. is a Dutch organization dedicated to facilitating donation for those who want to donate their bodies to science in a dignified and ethical manner. In medical research, donated bodies are indispensable. No technology can replace the human body as a research or training tool. We bring together the people who desire to be body donors and the scientists, researchers and educators who are changing the realities and outcomes of healthcare, on a daily basis.

RISE Labs’ Body Donation program is based in Europe. Our local presence contributes to reduced costs and carbon emissions, allowing more available resources for actual research. We work according to the highest ethical and professional standards. A respectful, ethical and transparent relationship with you and your next of kin is our highest priority.

Apart from university centers, we are the first party in the Netherlands that accepts body donations. The willingness among European people to donate their bodies after death is greater than the need of the universities. But there are also other institutions or organizations that depend on body donation for their research, for example for the development of implants or training on new procedures.

RISE Labs Body Donation complies with all applicable laws and regulations in the Netherlands and the EU. We work according to the highest quality standards, established in the accreditation requirements for tissue banks in the US. As there is not yet a comparable European authority, RISE Labs Body Donation is in discussion with the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport regarding supervision and regulations.
